Healing a Fresh Piercing
-Clean the piercing 3-4 times daily with a sterile saline solution.
-Don't twist, turn, or rotate the jewelry, as this reopens the tissue and prolongs healing.
-Check the piercing periodically with clean hands to ensure the threading is staying tight.
-Take Ibuprofen (unless allergic) for swelling
-Avoid hot tubs, swimming and bodily fluids coming in contact with the piercing during the healing process.
-Use alcohol free or saline mouth rinse for all oral piercings
In 6-8 weeks the piercing is typically healed enough to downsize the jewelry to a more appropriate length. Contact us at the studio to schedule a jewelry change appointment so we can assist you.
Piercing for
Children
Anyone under the age of 18 is considered a minor and per health department regulations in the state of Florida, will be required to complete a notarized consent form for all body modifications.
Notary forms should be completed by the same parent or guardian that will be accompanying the minor for the scheduled appointment.
